White 1994 Mercedes-Benz S350 automatic diesel sedan For Sale.

W140 S-Class MB machine from the old school. I’m the third owner and have enjoyed the car since 2016, but think it’s finally time for an SL. Only offered in 1994-95 in the US, this is a low-mileage diesel that wants to run. The straight 6-cylinder, 3.5L turbo-diesel engine had the head gasket replaced at 86k by an independent MB-only shop. If you know the history of this engine configuration, you know its issue, and it is using oil again; it doesn’t leak, it burns it. While open, the top end internals were inspected and found to be in excellent shape and the self-adjusting hydraulic lifters never need adjustment. Rear diff. lube changed at 100k. Matching Michelin Premier tires and alignment approx. 5k ago. This car is mechanically sound and incredibly safe with 12/24 inspection.

Light gray leather interior shows little wear and is in excellent shape for its age. No pets and no children, probably ever! As a salesman once told me, “Thresholds and rear seat crevices don’t lie”. Power front seats with 3-position memory work; lumbar support, not so much. Power telescoping/tilt steering wheel works and is included in the position memory. The automatic climate control is wonky but blows hot and cold air to windshield and side vents. Cruise control works half the time. Factory radio is in place but volume control is out. Wheels have some of the color coating flaking and the bumper covers have some minor blemishes. I am responsible for all of the blemishes and each has a stupid mistake story. Car has never been wrecked. My vehicles may not be the cleanest, but I fuss over the machinery aspects.

Yes, it uses oil and some of the highly-engineered German (dare we say, over-engineered??) creature comforts don’t work as when new, but here is a chance to own an $80,000 classic car. (I think only 3,500 of this model were imported). Please do your research and contact me only if serious. You could spend twice this much and get a W140 with all the same issues either occurring or pending.
